Bookings
Bookings are essential and are on a first come first served basis! You are welcome to simply show up and go for a skydive, however, pre-booked passengers will receive priority over those who choose to do so. We require a $50 deposit for all advanced bookings which is non-refundable unless you provide us with at least 24 hours prior notice of cancellation or we cancel your booking due to adverse weather conditions on the day. In that case, you will be entitled to a full refund or you can re-schedule your booking for another day. The final balance of payment is required on arrival before your skydive. Health and physical requierments and restrictions
- The minimum age for a Tandem Skydive in Australia is 14 years and any person under the age of 18 years needs their parent or legal guardian's written consent. There is no upper age limit for Tandem Skydiving!
|
- Tandem Skydive passengers are required to sign a form declaring that they do not suffer from health related problems or disabilities which could preclude their participation in parachuting and its associated activities. It's important to note that we have safely taken many people with various disabilities and impairments skydiving over the years. However, there are certain health related conditions that people may possess which would render them as ineligible to participate in Tandem Skydiving for their own safety. Our Tandem Masters reserve the right to deny anybody from participating in Tandem Skydiving due to the above. Passengers who feel they may fall into this category may contact us to discuss their individual circumstance.
|
- Tandem passengers are required to sign a form declaring that they have not taken any prescribed and or illicit drugs which may impair their reaction time, judgement or general health that would subsequently preclude them from being able to participate in Tandem Skydiving.
|
- Tandem passengers are required to sign a form declaring that they have not been Scuba Diving within the previous 48 hour period.
|
- All passengers are required to weigh themselves prior to undergoing their training. There is a MAXIMUM WEIGHT LIMIT OF 105 KG. However, this is an absolute weight limit and each of our Tandem Masters reserve the right to deny ones participation in Tandem Skydiving based on their discretion that a particular person is overall unfit for the activity. In determining their discretion as to refuse or deny a passenger from going on a Tandem Skydive, a Tandem Master may consider any of the following factors:
(i) the passenger's overall weight / height ratio, physical fitness and ability to lift their legs upon the landing phase of the skydive,
(ii) operational regulations and the Tandem Masters' Study Guide of the Australian Parachute Federation (APF) which is the governing body of skydiving in Australia, and
(iii) the weather conditions.
If the Tandem Master feels that any one or combination of these factors may subject themselves or their passenger to injury in any way, the Tandem Master will adopt the prudent course of action to decline the jump based on safety reasons. It is important to note that while we have a maximum weight limit of 105 kg, those people considered as overweight for their height, may be refused to participate in the activity of skydiving due to the unacceptable risk of injury to themselves. Please note that all passengers are required to demonstrate to their Tandem Master that they can in fact lift their legs in order to safely undergo the landing phase of the skydive. Any passenger who can not perform this task while suspended in their Tandem Harness will be refused their right to jump due to the issue of safety and the Tandem Master's Duty-of-Care owed to their passengers. |
